BMW have a lot of experience in the production of luxury cars, the first of the 7 series was presented in 1977. For testing we chose modifications with 8 cylinder engines and power of 400 hp. In Panamera engine capacity is 4806 cc, this is the same engine like at the Cayenne S. In the BMW engine is slightly larger 5461 cc, power is exactly the same 400hp in the two competitors, but torque is much larger 100 nm in 7 series. The weight of the 750i
is larger to almost 200 kg. That is overwhelming advantage for Porsche. In acceleration from a standstill Panamera is presented much well because of its lightweight construction PDK transmission. At the maximum speed Porsche reaches 282 km/h, BMW “only” 250 km / h. In terms of fuel consumption 7 series lose again.
