BMW officially presented the Second generation of the Sports Activity Vehicle X3. The new generation compact SUV can boast with significantly increased space optimized functionality and enhanced driving comfort. Germany vehicle will be available in two engine variants:

BMW X3 xDrive20d – with four-cylinder diesel engine with aluminum crankcase, turbocharger and Common Rail direct injection. With this engine X5 younger brother has fuel consumption of just 5.6 liters per 100 km. The output power of this engine is 135 kW (184 bhp), displacement is 1,995 cc, max. E380 Torque Nm at 1,750 – 2,750 rpm. Classical distance of 0-100 km / h (0-60 mph) X3 gives time 8.5 seconds and top speed is 210 km / h. This modification is for the European market, for USA will be available only six-cylinder version.

BMW X3 xDrive35i – with Straight six-cylinder petrol engine with BMW Twin Power Turbo, direct injection and VALVETRONIC. This version will replace the current model xDrive30i. X3 xDrive35i has a power output of 225 kW (306 bhp) at 5,800 rpm, displacement is 2,979 cc, max. Torque is 400 Nm at 1,300 rpm. This modification of the X3 is one of the fastest in its class and take the classical distance of 0-100 km / h (0-60 mph) in just 5.7 seconds. Maximum speed is 245 km / h. average fuel consumption according to EU is 8.8 liters per 100 km.

Second generation X3 will have many new systems: Auto Start Stop function for the six-cylinder engine and eight-speed automatic transmission. Newly conceived suspension technology, electric power steering featured for the first time in a BMW X model, variable sports steering optional. First BMW X model with optional Damper Control and Dynamic Drive Control. BMW ConnectedDrive: Head-up Display, Internet access, reversing camera with Top View.
