1 milionth Audi sold in China

Audi celebrated the one millionth car sold in China. Happy vehicle is a metallic blue Q5, the owner of which is from Changchun. Happy event was celebrated at a ceremony in Changchun. In attendance were the Board of Management of AUDI AG, the partners from First Automobile Works (FAW) and more than 7,000 guests, including the plant employees . Beginning  sales for Audi in the Chinese market started in 1988 with the model Audi 100. For the first nine months of this year in China, Audi has sold over 175,000 units, their number is expected to reach 200,000 by year’s end. In Changchun facility today, Audi produces the A6L, the A4L and, since 2009, the Q5 for the Chinese market. Last year, with a new assembly hall, the Company increased its production capacity to 300,000 units. Audi also plans to expand its dealership network from 157 locations in 106 cities to over 400 dealerships by 2013.
