Saab officially unveiled its new crossover 9-4X. The world premiere will be on November 19 this year at Motor Show in Los Angeles. The U.S. market crossover will be sold from May next year, in Europe from August. Crossover Saab 9-4X will be offered on the market with two petrol engines with 6 cylinders – the first is 3.0-liter, 265 hp features direct fuel injection and variable valve timing, the second one is 2.8l turbo with a output power of  300 hp. Each of them can be combined with adaptive automatic transmission with 6 gears. According to information of Saab, crossover with a weak engine accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h (0-60 mph) in 9 seconds, with stronger for 8.3 seconds. The new model will be driven by advanced all-wheel-drive system, Saab XWD, and DriveSense adaptive chassis control. The suspension settings are made by pressing a button on the car. Besides standard Intelligent mode has three modes – Comfort, Sport and Eco. In ecological system sensitivity of the throttle and operation of the gearbox is set so as to ensure the most fuel efficient. “The 9-4X significantly broadens the appeal of the Saab brand,” says Saab Automobile CEO Jan Åke Jonsson. “It gives us entry to the fast-growing crossover segment with a vehicle that reflects our brand values in key areas, such as progressive Scandinavian design and sporty, responsible driving performance. The 9-4X is an exciting package and we’re confident it will appeal to many existing Saab owners, as well as win new customers for the brand. ” Currently the prices of Saab 9-4X has not yet been announced.
