Volkswagen publishes information for 2011 Passat model, whose sales in Europe will start in November 2010. The first Passat was produced back in 1973 and since then has sold over 15 million cars, making it one of the best selling cars in the world. Seventh generation Passat suffered with minor visual changes, close to other new models of the company. Diversity in the engines for the European version is quite large, exactly 10. For the base is set 1.6 TDI 77 kW (105 hp) for which the manufacturer gives an impressive average fuel consumption of 4.2 liters per 100 km. All diesel engines fitted to the Passat has been with the system stop-start, which improves fuel consumption and reduces emissions. The most powerful diesel engine is rated at 170 horsepower . 122 PS (TSI), 110 kW / 150 PS (TSI EcoFuel), 118 kW / 160 PS (TSI), 155 kW / 211 PS (TSI). Technological equipment of the new 2011 Passat offers a lot of high-tech systems. Assistance and driving dynamics systems: DCC adaptive chassis control, ACC adaptive cruise control, Easy Open, Front Assist with city emergency braking function, Dynamic Light Assist, Keyless Access, Lane Assist, Light Assist, fatigue detection, Park Assist, Park Pilot with visual display, Rear Assist rearview camera, Side Assist, traffic sign detection. Drivetrain for 2011 Passat is a standard front-wheel drive, optional VW offer all-wheel drive (4MOTION). Gearboxes are 3, Standard gearbox is 6-speed manual, Automatic gearbox are two: 6-speed DSG, 7-speed DSG. Fuel consummation of the new Passat is from 4.2 l/100 km to 9.3 l/100 km, which is 18% lower than the previous model. Currently there is no information on the USA version of 2011 Passat.
