Range Rover will remember the date November 4, 2010 with the production of one millionth piece of classic SUV. Anniversary model was produced in Solihull manufacturing plant. Unlike many other brands with a long history models with almost new generation for every year, this generation is only the third for Range Rover since 1970. One millionth unit to be auctioned for Help for Heroes, patron of which is a popular presenter of Top Gear Jeremy Clarkson. The one millionth Range Rover was driven personally by Phil Popham to London to deliver the car to Help for Heroes. He was followed from Solihull to London by a convoy of heritage Range Rovers, driven by their enthusiastic owners. “Land Rover is very proud to support the Help for Heroes charity by donating the one millionth Range Rover. The vehicle will be auctioned later this year and should raise valuable funds for the practical and direct provision of aid for wounded service people and their families, “said Phil Popham, MD Jaguar Land Rover. The price of the model in the UK is around £ 85,000, but for the anniversary version is expected auction price to exceeds £ 100,000.
