October 2010: GM is back in first place in U.S. sales

The results of October 2010, the Group General Motors has sold the most new cars in the U.S. Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac increased 13 percent compared to October 2009 to 183,392 units. The second place is for Ford Motor, which has realized the American market, 157,653 vehicles, Toyota is third with 145,501 cars sold. Toyota, however, is the only manufacturer that sales in October fell (-4%) compared with October 2009. Total in October in the U.S. are sold 950,323 new cars, up 13 percent over the same month last year. Overall, from the beginning of this year the U.S. market sold 8,622,342 vehicles, up 11 percent over the first 10 months of 2009.
