The maximum output power is 700 hp at 8250 rpm and maximum torque is 690 Nm at 5500 rpm. The new engine was developed in the factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese and has a weight of only 234 kg. Its weight does not exceed 70 kilograms, and according to engineers from Lamborghini new transmission guarantee a 50% faster gear changing from the familiar dual-clutch transmissions. According to preliminary information the prospective Lamborghini Aventador will be able to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and a top speed is over 350 km/h. The chassis will be built of carbon fiber, a total weight will not be more than 1500 kg. The price of the vehicle in Europe will start from around € 350,000.
