2011 season will be the first from 40 years, which will start five world champions. Furthermore, the current champion Sebastian Vettel, 2011 will also see Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Michael Schumacher. The only such case in history was in 1970 when on the track are Jack Brabham, John Surtees, Denny Hulme, Graham Hill and Jackie Stewart.
Formula 1 until now had not seen six world champions on the track in the same season, but if Kimi Raikkonen decided to return to sport, 2011 could be a record year. If this happens ¼ of the pilots in starting grid will be a world champions.
