Cayman and Boxster to be build together with new VW Golf Cabrio

Porsche Cayman and Boxster will produce along with new VW Golf convertible in the plant in Osnabrück, Germany. Plant will be used only for additional capacity. Currently Boxster and Cayman are produced in Zuffenhausen and Finnish plant. According to unofficial information, the Finnish factory of the company Valmet Automotive in Uusikaupunki city would not renew its contract with Porsche for 2011. The plant in Osnabrück was owned by Volkswagen together with bodywork studio Karmann, which went bankrupt in 2009 and was bought by VW. Thereafter, the VW AGinvested over 300 million euro’s for modernization of the plant. Now he is now ready for production of the Golf cabriolet, and workers go through training.
