Mercedes officially presented photos of the all-new 2012 SLK-Class. The third generation of sports model comes with two new engines. 6 cylinder version SLK350 develops 302 hp from its 3498 cubic-centimeter displacement. With this engine, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds and top speed is 155 mph. SLK250 will use the 1.8 four-cylinder engine with 201 hp. For European customers Mercedes will offer two more versions. SLK200 with 1.8 engine rates 184 horsepower. By Mercedes are prepared for the first time a diesel version modification that will appear later and will use 2.1 liters turbo diesel engine with 204 horsepower. AMG version is not yet officially announced but will probably be equipped with 5.5 V8 engine. The official premiere of the new SLK in the USA will be this summer.
