Honda Civic 2012 was officially presented at the North American International Auto Show. At the premiere of the model were shown Civic Si Coupe and Civic Sedan. “The Civic is known for providing a balance of ‘just-right’ packaging, fun-to-drive character and outstanding fuel economy, at a price that even first-time buyers can afford,” said John Mendel, executive vice president of sales for American Honda. 
“The redesigned Civic builds on this legacy and promises to be the best Civic yet.” The ninth generation of the most popular model of the Japanese company will be offered in 6 variants. Sedan, Coupe, Hybrid, GX (Natural Gas), Si Sedan, Si Coupe. In 2012 model for the first time will be installed lithium-ion battery in a Honda hybrid. i-VTEC ® (“intelligent” Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) system is specially enhanced to reduce more fuel consumption. As yet there is no detailed information about technical parameters of the engines which will be used in model 2012. Sales is expected to begin this summer
