Sales of the all-new BMW X1 in the U.S. showrooms will be delayed. The main reason is the unexpectedly high demand for models in European market, where the model is already sells. Currently X1 together with the 1 Series is manufactured only in a factory in Leipzig, Germany. But production capacity now can feed the American market. North American model will arrive as planned on the territory of the continent, but now will be sold only in Canada. According to BMW spokesman Tom Plucinsky U.S. model will appear until fall of ’11. Model in Europe is available in six different modifications with an output power from 150 to 258 hp.
