This information was contradicted officially by the spokesman from VW group, saying that no have problem between the Audi and Volkswagen. Problem is that Audi wants to install the rotary engine in the new plug-in hybrid A1 e-tron. The biggest advantages of this type of engine are its small size. However, developing of this engine will cost a lot of money, and from VW do not want to give it. Electric motor that will drive the A1 e-tron will have a 101 horsepower, with his help the little car will travel about 50 km before you need the use the petrol engine. Average consumption should be somewhere around 2L / 100 km (120 mpg).
