British company Radical officially presented its first street legal vehicle. Radical SR3 SL is a modified version of the standard model SR3 with redesigned suspension system for a softer ride and road-legal wheels and tyres. Engine under the hood was taken from the new Ford Focus ST, 2.0-litre Ford Ecoboost with remapping ECO increase the power from 247 to 300 hp. The gearbox is a six-speed sequential gearbox similar to that of the F1 car with paddle shifters. Acceleration from 0-60 mph (0-100 km / h) is only 3.0 seconds. Maximum torque on the first and second gear is electronically limited in third gear electronics automatically turns
off the restriction and the engine produces 340lb ft at 1700rpm (460 Nm). From Radical expect the model to become a serious competition in the Ariel Atom. The Radical SR3 SL will be priced from £ 67,750 ($ 108,000). Production of the model is expected to be around 40 units per year.
