One of the cheapest cars in the world Tata Nano will be equipped with continuously variable automatic transmission. Most likely the new gearbox will be supplied by the Canadian company CVTech. If this idea will be confirm most likely Canadian company will build a new factory in India, near Tata Motors factory in the city Sanand, Gujarat where it currently produces Nano. According to preliminary information, sales of Tata Nano with automatic transmission can start from this autumn. But how this decision will affect the price of the car is still not known. Nano is now sold in India with only one engine with 624 cm3 volume and power of 34 hp. The engine is combined only with four speed manual gearbox. The price of the car was just 113,000 rupees or approximately $2940.
