Toyota still No.1 in sales for 2010

Despite the serious difficulties with recalls in 2010, Toyota is still No. 1 in global sales. The Japanese company managed to sold total 8.42 million vehicles, includes cars sold under the logo of the Lexus, but not including Daihatsu and Hino Motors Ltd. On the U.S. Toyota delivered 1.76 million vehicles, which is less than a half percent less in 2009.

Second in the rankings for 2010 is GM, with total sales of 8.39 million vehicles. Unlike the Japanese company General Motors Co. sales are increased by 12% compared with 2009.

Third for the last year remained Volkswagen AG, which is able to sold 7.14 million vehicles. The German company has managed to increase its sales by 13.5% and for the first time in its history sold more than 7 million vehicles. In the USA Volkswagen AG has sold 360,300 cars.
