BMW Group will start production of the luxury crossovers with three-seater rear seat. So far, X5 and X6 models were available only option with total 4 seats. From spring 2011 will start selling models that will be replaced the storage unit in the rear centre of the four-seater model with one additional seat. This option will be available for all modifications of the BMW X6 and X5, except ActiveHybrid models.
The additional features available from the spring 2011 also are shift paddles on the steering wheel taken from M models, which can be ordered for all versions of the X6 and X5. BMW ConnectDrive technology has been augmented by the innovative BMW Apps feature, allows connectivity via an iPhone to Apple’s iTunes, Facebook and Twitter as well as accessing web radio from inside the car.
The two top luxuries SUV’s model of the Bavarian company will receive new 20’ inch wheels in a Y-spoke design with 275/40 R20 front tires and 315/35 R20 for the rear.
