Audi almost certainly will use the engine from the Bentley for the new S8. 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine will produce 520hp (388 KW). This power of top luxury model from Audi is ahead of competitors from BMW, but still quite far from the 604′s horsepower’s in Mercedes S65 AMG.

Current S8 comes with a V10 engine from the Lamborghini Gallardo, with reduced power from 520 to 450 horsepower. Audi will offer new S8 standard with all four-wheel drive system Quattro. Gearbox which would fit the engine will be a 6 speed automatic tiptronic. According to preliminary data, the new flagship luxury sports car will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0-100 km/h) in about 5 seconds, top speed most likely will be electronically limited to 155mph (250 km/h) .

As yet, the official premiere has not been announced officially, the model is expected to debut in early 2012, most likely at the Auto Show in Geneva.
