Audi R4 should be ready by end of 2014

According to unofficial information from Audi has given the green light for new R4. Is expected to begin mass production in late 2014. The Roaster will use entirely new platform of VW Group. Front suspension will be identical to that of the new Porsche Boxster. Rear of the car is expected to be totally different from any Audi before. Under the hood R4 most likely will have 2.0l turbo engine with around 230 horsepower. More powerful versions will be equipped with a 2.5 turbo engine with 350 horsepower. Transmissions intended for the new P4 are two: mechanical with 6 degrees and Robotic S-tronic with dual clutch. Model should be direct competition to Mercedes-Benz SLK-class, and BMW Z4.
