During a press conference in Washington, DC, Volvo CEO Stefan Jacoby confirmed the information that V60 plug-in hybrid will hit USA dealerships in late 2013 or early 2014. Unlike the European version of the model, here Volvo will use the gasoline engine. In Europe, the V60 plug-in hybrid is expected no earlier than the end of 2012, according to preliminary information, the average cost of diesel fuel should be not more than 2.00 L/100 km (IPY 117). Model will have all-wheel drive system, where the rear axle will be driven by an electric motor and the front axle will be powered by diesel engine.
Currently still no information about exactly what will be the gasoline engine in USA version.
