Despite strained relations between VW and Suzuki, the Japanese company officially present its new 2012 model Swift Sport. Vehicle was developed in collaboration with VW and sales will begin in the month October 2011 worldwide. Swift Sport is a global model and will be sold in over 40 countries in 6 continents. Model has received new front bumper, revised side skirts and a roof-mounted spoiler, HID headlights, a sport-tuned
suspension, a dual exhaust system and exclusive 17-inch aluminum wheels.
Under the hood is mounted improved 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine M16A based on the previous model. Compared with the previous model, the power was increased by about 11 hp. to impressive 136 hp (100kW)
at 6,900 rpm. Maximum torque is also improved from 148Nm / 4,800 rpm to 160Nm / 4,400 rpm. Despite the increased power, fuel economy is improved – 6.4 l/100 km (37MPG) compared to 7.1 l/100km (33MPG) in the previous model.
