Toyota officially presented the new modification of one of the most popular hybrids. 2012 Prius Plug-in production model is determined by the Japanese as GREENEST, MOST TECHNICALLY ADVANCED PRIUS ever. Fuel consumption is impressive 134.5mpg, and harmful CO2 emissions are just 49g/km. Only on electricity car can travel up to 14.3 miles. Third generation of world’s best selling hybrid includes a new front bumper, new clear and fully transparent glass headlamps with altered configuration of the diode section and daily LED lights in the bumper.
The maximum power of the car is 134 hp, acceleration from standstill to 60 miles (0-100 km / h) is only 10.7sec., top speed is 112 mph (180 kmh).
The Japanese company expects sales next year of 2012 models to hit 50,000 units worldwide, the most important markets are Japan, USA and Europe. Prius Plug-in sales will start in early 2012 at a price in U.S. – $30,000.
