Peugeot 508 RXH Diesel-electric hybrid concept

During Frankfurt Motor Show, Peugeot officially introduced Diesel-electric hybrid 508 RXH. Car is the third consecutive model in 508 family after sedan and wagon modifications. Crossover is built on the wagon base and will compete with models like the Audi Allroad and Volvo XC70. Vehicle is equipped with the latest development of the French manufacturer system Hybrid4 feature four-wheel drive system without mechanical connection between the front and rear axles. 2.0 HDi FAP turbo diesel engine is located in front and drive front axle, the electric motor is installed at the rear of the car and transmits power to the rear wheels. Vehicle can move in four different modes: Zero Emission Vehicle, 4WD, Sport and Auto. The maximum power of the vehicle in a combination of diesel and electric engines is up to 200 horsepower at fuel consumption of just 4.0 l/100 km. Sales in Europe will begin in spring next year, the price has not yet been officially announced.
