According to NHTSA research every 10th car accident in the U.S. is caused by the use of cell phones during driving. More than 3,000 people every year in U.S. die because use mobile phones while driving. However, in 2011 is reported a significant decrease in fatalities, compared to deaths in 2009 are around 5500. Practically 75% of drivers admit that they use cell phone in a car.
Although most drivers use the handsfree, the main problem remains the writing of SMS messages, which significantly detract attention. In Europe the use of mobile phones without handsfree is prohibited.
